"I barely got any use out..."
I barely got any use out of it before the hardware broke. it’s kind of ridiculous how fast it gave out. I expected it to last a lot longer.

"I feel like they kind of oversold..."
I feel like they kind of oversold it with the pictures. The photos showed nicer details and made it look a lot more polished, but what showed up was duller and just not the same. It’s not terrible, but yeah, that’s on them for making it look better than it actually is.

The parts themselves looked fine, but the instructions were confusing in a few spots. I ended up having to redo a couple of steps, which made the whole thing take "way longer" than I thought it would. Not impossible to install, just more frustrating than expected.

The item itself was fine and arrived okay, but the shipping cost was a lot higher than I expected. It left me feeling like the company is more focused on squeezing extra money out of customers than just being upfront with fair pricing.

"Looked nicer online than it did in person"
I ordered some period-style hardware because it looked really nice online, but in person it just felt kind of cheap. The finish was uneven, and the screws didn’t really match the pieces properly, which was annoying. It also took way too long to get help from customer service, that part was weird. I don’t think I’d order from them again.

"The website was oddly frustrating to use"
I tried to place an order, but the site just made everything harder than it needed to be. Pages took forever to load, and I kept noticing little things like buttons not responding right away or the loading spinner sitting there way too long. The search felt like it wasn’t actually finding what I typed in, even when I used the exact words from the product name. Then checkout froze on me more than once, which was the final straw. After clicking the same button a few times and staring at the same half-loaded screen, I just gave up.

"Poor packaging and I had to chase them up"
I ordered from VanDykes and the box turned up badly crushed, with some of the parts just rattling around loose inside. I expected better packaging, to be honest. I also had to chase them about it, which made the whole thing more frustrating than it needed to be.

I ordered from Van Dyke's Restorers using the measurements they had listed, but when the piece arrived it just didn’t fit the way it should have. I double checked everything on my end and it was still off enough to be really frustrating. The quality seemed fine, but the sizing info definitely could’ve been more accurate. What made it more annoying was that there wasn’t really any human contact or an easy person to talk to about it, so I just ended up figuring out a workaround myself.

"A Few Mix-Ups With My Order"
I ordered two cabinet pulls along with matching hinges, but one of the pulls came in the wrong finish and the hinges were a different size than what was listed. Customer service was helpful and got part of it sorted out, though it did take about another week. Overall, it wasn’t a huge problem, just a bit frustrating to deal with when I was trying to finish the project.

"Shipping took longer than expected"
I ordered a few hardware parts from vandykes.com, and the items themselves were fine once they finally showed up. The shipping, though, was a bit of a different story. It just seemed to sit there for days without much happening, which made the whole order feel slower than it probably needed to be.

I know delays happen, so I’m not acting like it ruined my week or anything, but almost two weeks with very little communication isn’t exactly ideal. If I needed something in a hurry, I’d probably look around first before ordering again.

My order showed up damaged, the whole thing was just frustrating. The item was damaged, I contacted support, and then it felt like they kept dragging it out for no reason. I had to keep explaining the same issue, kept waiting for a real answer, and still didn’t feel like it was handled properly. Damaged item, slow support, more waiting, just not worth it. I won’t be ordering again.

"Tracking was frustrating"
I ordered from vandykes.com the tracking was a bit annoying. It showed my package just sitting in one place for days, and then all of sudden it updated after I was already thinking maybe it got lost. The item did finally show up, but it came later than I expected. I just wish the tracking info was more accurate and not so confusing...

"Total nightmare trying to get one tiny part"
I just needed one small replacement part, and somehow it turned into an endless saga. Support kept sending me in circles like I was trapped in some customer service maze. after all that drama, I’m not ordering from them again.
